PLEASE READ: The vase has a bit damaged bottom from where pieces got stuck on the kiln shelf. I sanded the bottom (see photo 4), The damage is not visible at all when the vase is standing.
A contemporary hand-built vase with that works great as a decorative item or can carry beautifully a few flowers. It is a heavy vase.
It was made of speckled stoneware clay and dipped in glossy royal blue glaze upon which it was fired to cone 8 (1250C) in an electric kiln. The base was left unglazed and is impressed with my maker's mark.
