Large handmade ceramic round bowl made of black stoneware clay with carved geometric pattern. The black geometric shapes are exposed raw clay which had been fired to such high temperatures that it has become water-resistant. The platter can therefore be used to serve food or keep fruit in it even though it was predominantly made with decorative purpose in mind.
MATERIALS Black stoneware clay, matter turquoise, glossy white food safe glaze, white engobe.
